Getting Social (Media, That Is) at AUTM’s Eastern Region Meeting

The Association of University Technology Managers^® (AUTM) Eastern Region meeting is just around the corner, and I’m excited to be participating in a special panel that will leverage Fuentek’s insights on social media for tech transfer offices.

“The Secret Life of a Social Media Administrator: What Works, What Doesn’t and Why You Might Have the Wrong Approach” will be led by Morgan E. Estabrook from the University of Virginia Patent Foundation, and my fellow panelists are Montserrat Capdevila and Laura Mitchell of Johns Hopkins University, and Stephen Kinsey of the University of Maryland-Baltimore.

We’ll be sharing our experiences managing tech transfer office presence on social media platforms such as LinkedIn^®, Facebook^®, Twitter^®, and YouTube™ as well as a new tech transfer mobile application. You can use these tools to gain more exposure for your office, generate new leads, and build business relationships. Join us at this session to learn how.

Also of interest, Fuentek also will be moderating two sessions at AUTM Eastern: Fuentek President Laura Schoppe will lead the session Play Well with Others: How to Collaborate with Economic Development Organizations and the session An Alternative to Startups: Collaboration Through Symbiotic Innovation, which also features my fellow Fuentek consultant Nannette Stangle-Castor. Actually, the economic development session will be held at the same time as mine, so unfortunately you’ll have to choose which one of us you’d like to see! :)
