This poll is all about what comes after the patenting process has been initiated. If you’re a regular reader of our blog, you know Fuentek recommends that the decision to patent a technology be based on the findings from a preliminary technology screening—a critical first step in the technology commercialization process. (Check out our recorded webinar for insider info on how to conduct an effective technology screening.) If your screening reveals sufficient market potential, then it’s time to begin the patenting process.
Now what?
We’re curious to learn what your technology transfer office takes as the next step. Do you wait for the patent to be granted before proceeding further, assess the market fit of your technology, or forge ahead with a marketing campaign? Visit the “Our Current Poll” box located on the right-hand side of our home page to chime in with your answer!
And if you’ve taken the poll and have more thoughts to share on this topic, we’d love to hear them! Feel free to contact us or leave a comment below.
